BOSSE functions as an alternative education board in India, focusing on open schooling and skill education through flexible academic structures. It allows learners to study at their own pace and provides opportunities for school dropouts, working professionals, and other non-traditional learners to complete secondary and senior secondary education.
The board emphasizes accessibility, flexibility, and skill integration, offering learner support systems, digital resources, and multiple examination opportunities. BOSSE aligns its academic framework with national open schooling standards to ensure recognition and equivalency for further education and employment.
